Radiation Oncology
Nanialei M. Golden, M.D., moved to the Melbourne area in 1998 after completing her Radiation Oncology residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. She also spent time at the University of California, San Francisco completing a fellowship in Gamma Knife Radiosurgery. She received her medical degree from Chicago Medical School.
After practicing at Holmes Regional Medical Center for six years, Dr. Golden joined the MIMA Cancer Center in June 2004. She is currently the Director of Radiosurgery and is Chairman of the weekly MIMA Cancer Center Tumor Board. She is active on many cancer related committees including past Vice President of the South Brevard American Cancer Society Board of Directors. She has extensive experience in Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Brachytherapy (including prostate and gynecologic malignancies), and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and actively lectures on those innovative cancer therapeutics. In 2010 Dr. Golden received her Fellowship thorugh the American College of Radiation Oncology for 10+ years of meritorious service in the field of Radiation Oncology.
When she is not promoting cancer screening and awareness, she can be found exploring one of her biggest hobbies - enhancing her culinary skills. She is a strong advocate of integrating appropriate diet and activities during cancer therapy.
