  Infusion Therapy

What is Infusion Therapy?
Based on your type of cancer, disease stage and other factors, your Oncologist will determine a specific infusion treatment plan that is best for you.

Chemotherapy is a method of treatment that uses medications to target specific cancer cells within the body. Many of these medications are given by intravenous infusion, some using only one medication, while others require combined medications. All chemotherapy is given in cycles designed to attack the cancer cells at varying stages of development. The cycle may be daily, weekly, bimonthly, monthly or other regimen specific interval.

The cancer specialist team in the Infusion Center is dedicated to assist you and your family through all the stages of cancer treatment and follow-up. We firmly believe that patients have the right to be informed about their diagnosis and treatment plan. The infusion nurses are an exceptional resource for patient education on possible side effects, precautions and expected outcomes specific to your treatment plan.

The Infusion team cares about the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient and family members facing the challenges of cancer treatment. Whether you need someone to listen, answer questions, hold your hand or just be there, there is always someone here to help you. We pledge our skills, minds, and hearts to a mission of compassion, caring and hope for you and your family.
