MIMA Case Managers

The Oncology Case Manager position was developed to assist patients through the complexity and difficulty that is cancer treatment.  Our goal is to have someone to support you from the time of your diagnosis all the through to survivorship.

  • Advocate for you the patient
  • Provide patient and family emotional support
  • Provide Education
  • Assist patients to connect with resources from community, pharmaceutical, and professional agencies
  • Coordinate efficient scheduling of appointments
  • Facilitate support groups

Help with Prescriptions and/or Co-pays

NeedyMeds
NeedyMeds is a non-profit with the mission of helping people who cannot afford medicine or healthcare costs. The information at NeedyMeds is available anonymously and free of charge.
 
The HealthWell Foundation
The HealthWell Foundation was established in 2003 to address the needs of individuals who cannot afford their insurance copayments, premiums, coinsurance, or other out-of-pocket health care costs.
 
The Chronic Disease Fund
The Chronic Disease Fund is a charitable organization that helps underinsured patients with chronic disease, cancers or life-altering conditions obtain the expensive medications they need.
 
Luekemia and Lymphoma Society
The leukemia and lymphoma society has financial assistance available to patients for health insurance premiums and co-pays/coinsurance.
 
The Assistance Fund
The Assistance Fund provide co-pay and deductible for several different diseases.

Local Foundations

The MIMA Foundation
The MIMA Foundation has a grant to help cancer patients with non healthcare related expenses while they are undergoing treatment.
 
Cancer Care Foundation of Melbourne
The Cancer Care Foundation has financial assistance available for medication copay along with other expenses for cancer patients who are under active treatment: 321-952-8837
